Working Time Opt-Out Form

This form can be used for employees to opt-out of the 48 hour working limit.

Working Time Opt-Out Agreement

In accordance with the Working Time Regulations 1998, you can choose to work more than 48 hours a week on average if you’re over 18. This is called ‘opting out’.


Employees can opt out of this restriction on weekly hours. By signing this agreement you indicate that you are prepared to work more than 48 hours in any week either in Octavia Housing or combined hours in Octavia Housing and another declared employment.


You will to give 3 months’ notice if you wish to cancel this agreement. Such notice should be given in writing.


I, [Nkechi Patricia Ezenwamadu], agree to opt out of the requirement ‘not to work more than 48 hours’ per week. I understand that I will give written notice of 3 months at any time to terminate this agreement.
